Piwakawaka has been writing and learning how to start a story and quickly hook your reader into wanting to read more. Miss Hickford told us to try start a story with someone talking and not to forget to put” at the start and end of the speech. I think its a lot easer to start a story using speech. 
Rugby
Yesterday for PE we played rugby but it had a some difernt rules, like you can pass the ball forwad and one touch and its hand over ball.
I liked it because it was new.
Day off school
Yesterday I didn’t have school and I went up to Greymouth with Max A. We went to the pool but the slides were closed. After we played in the pool we got McDonald’s then went home.

I hit Renny today.
Renny cried.
Mum got grumpy.
Now I’m in bed feeling horrid in side.
Oh what have I done.
I thought it was just some fun.

Colour Poem Green
In the last few weeks Ruma Tui has been making our own colour poems. The first step was to plan it then we had to start creating it on Canva and lastly we had to post it on our blog. What would your colour poem be?
Fun At The Beach.
Today me, Mum, and Renny biked down to the beach and meet Lincoln and Isla there. First me and Lincoln made a base and we were at war against Renny and Isla. Next we tryed to light a fire by rubing wood together but in the end we could’t get it to light. Lastly it was time to go home so we hopped on our bikes and went home. It was a great day at the beach because I got to have fun with my friends.
Maui and Mahuika Legend
We have been writing the story about Maui and Mahuika. Fireman Zack came and told us about it. The part I liked the most was making the pictures for the story.
The Way Back Home Writing
We have been retalling a story called the way back home. We had to draw a picture to go with our writing. I liked how I added the explosion at the bottom of it. It was hard to retell the story but the picture was really easy. I hope you enjoy reading my story.

My name is Finnian and I go to Kaniere School and my favourite subject is writing and reading. I have two cats and their names are Taco and Bean they bring in mice, skinks and even eels! I also have two sheep called Munchy and Nibbles. I have a sister who’s name is Renny. She is funny and creative. My hobbies are going for bikes down the road and surfing. My friends are Max M, Caleb, Luke, Louis, Josh and Beau. I like playing with them at school. My favourite food is pizza and mandarins. My favourite colours are green and orange.
I like going to the lake and to the bridge to do bombs of it with Mum, Dad and Renny. I like going to school because I get to see my friends! I hope you enjoy my blog.
