Holiday Recount – (biking up bluespere)

I stopped to catch my breath, I was almost at the top of the hill so I powered on. Finally I got to the top of the hill and had a drink of water. Next I went down a track called bad boys. I went down a dip and had to lean back and pedal hard. The corners were fun.

After that I tried a track that I hadn’t done before and went down the steep slope I pick up speed and zoomed up the other side but didn’t see the the corner so when i got to the corner I kept going forwards so I slammed on the brakes but my front wheel was hanging over the side of the cliff it gave me a fright but I was fine. The rest of the track was fun though. Next I rode back along the road. I went really fast. At the bottom I felt happy and tired. I slept well that night.

I liked biking the tracks

  1. I like your opening sentence it caught my attention. I also like how you described how you felt when you nearly missed the corner. I like running those tracks but I feel a bit scared biking them. It was good that you could bike with Jo and Jessie. From Mum

  2. I liked your opening sentence too. That must have been a very scary moment when you hit the brakes at the corner. I think I would have been shaking with fright and too scared to get back on my bike. But I am soooooooooooo glad you did not go over the cliff. ( You are allowed to spell so like that when you want to exaggerate!)
